Minister Opstelten (Security and Justice) and Mayor Van Aartsen (municipality of The Hague) have officially opened the HSD Campus. Minister Opstelten: "Security issues are becoming increasingly important and complex. Thus, cooperation between government, industry and science is very important. The new HSD Campus offers plenty of space for these public- private partnerships and encourages innovations in the security domain."

The Hague attaches great importance to the further development of the security cluster. Research shows that the sector has great growth potential. Deputy Mayor Henk Kool (Economics): "The Hague has been investing in the national security cluster The Hague Security Delta. This cluster is both socially and economically important and reflects the identity of The Hague as an international city of peace and justice. The new partnership with the government and the innovation regions Twente and Brabant is therefore of great importance to strengthen the Dutch security cluster and our international competitiveness.”
